FAQ
Therapy San Francisco
Why Therapy?
Therapy provides a space where you can start to examine and re-evaluate all of your different layers, qualities and gifts. We can explore behaviors and identities that you may have learned or taken on in the past but that no longer serve you.
What is Therapy?
Therapy allows room for neglected and rejected parts of ourselves to be integrated. Together and at your pace, we will explore patterns that created your life experiences. And through the client- therapist relationship we will develop ways to redefine your life in the ways that you want.
What should I expect during my initial 15 minute complementary phone consultation?
In our first phone contact i will ask you for your name, phone number and your interest in therapy: what you hope to gain and learn.
This will also be an opportunity for you to ask me questions and discuss any concerns you might have. Some people ask about how I work and my experience working with a certain type of challenge.
Additionally, we will set the fee and a time for our session.
Hours of operation?
Monday- Thursday 9am-9pm
Do you take insurance?
I am not currently enlisted with any insurance companies. i am considered an out of network provider for many companies. most insurance companies will reimburse their members directly for treatment that is obtained from an out of network provider. i will create a receipt for you to submit to your insurance company.
if you are interested in receiving reimbursement for your insurance plan i recommend contacting your insurance provider directly and asking them the following questions:
-Are out of network mental health services covered? If so what percentage of the session fee would be covered?
-Is there a limit to the number of sessions that will be covered?
-Is preauthorization required? If so, then I can supply you with the necessary details.
Is what we discuss in therapy confidential?
I have a legal and ethical obligation to keep the information you share with me confidential. Which means everything we talk about stays in the room. This is your basic right to privacy .
There are only a few exceptions to this rule.
-When there is reasonable suspicion of the abuse of neglect of child, dependent or elder.
-When a person presents an immanent of serious danger to self or others.
-When required by the event of a court order.
